Our Project for the August Meeting

The Pilot Club of Morganton will join other clubs across the state in the 2009-2010 North Carolina District Project.  This year we will partner with the Brain Injury Association of North Carolina (BIANC) to support their 2009 Traumatic Brian Injury (TBI) Camp Care Free.  The camp will be held September 11-13 in Stokesdale NC.

The Morganton Pilot Club will sponsor two campers attending Camp Care Free.  In addition, Pilots are to bring donations for camp crafts and prizes to the August meeting.

Ideas for decorative crafts and prizes include…

• wooden picture frames
• T-shirts or hats
• Small plant and pot that can be decorated and taken home for the camper to nurture
• Small blankets
• Healthy snacks
• Items to encourage exercise (pedometers, balance balls, etc.)
• Nutritional books
• Motivational items
